Heffley Hosting a Trio of Town Halls, First One on Thursday

WEISSPORT – Rep. Doyle Heffley (R-Carbon) is inviting Carbon County residents to join him at three upcoming town halls he is hosting. The town halls will be a combination of in-person and telephone.

“I always want to be available to have a conversation with the people I represent,” Heffley said. “This trio of town halls help make sure residents have every opportunity to ask questions and share what’s on their minds.”

The first town hall, which is an in-person town hall, will take place this Thursday, Aug. 27, starting at 6 p.m. It will take place at Harmony Hall, 57 Church St., Beaver Meadows.  

Second, Heffley is hosting a telephone town hall on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Calls inviting participation will go out starting about five minutes before the town hall begins. If residents miss the call or don’t receive one, they can join by calling 877-229-8493 and entering the code 17796. Anyone interested can also stream the call here.

Third, Heffley is hosting another in-person town hall, on Thursday, Sept. 3, starting at 6 p.m. It will take place at the Golden Oaks Community Center, 302 Golden Oaks Drive, White Haven.

“Offering a combination of in-person and telephone town halls makes it convenient for anyone I represent to participate in a way that works best for them,” Heffley added. “I look forward to productive conversations.”

Heffley hosted a pair of town halls in both June and July. During those town halls, issues regarding data centers, property taxes and the state budget were discussed.
