About Doyle 

Based on his priorities of creating a business-friendly environment, reducing taxes, achieving greater fiscal responsibility and government transparency, and restoring government trust, Doyle Heffley was elected to serve the people of the 122nd Legislative District Carbon County in 2010.

During the 2011-12 Legislative Session, he has been named to serve as Secretary of the House Tourism and Recreational Development Committee, and also as a member of the House Game and Fisheries Committee, the House Human Services Committee and the House Transportation Committee to begin the 2011-12 legislative session. He is also a member of the Pro-Life Caucus, Coal Caucus and Property Tax Caucus. 

A 1989 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, he later went on to Lincoln Technical Institute where he received his associate’s degree in architectural drafting and design.  Since 1996, he has worked in the trucking industry where his work ethic and dedication propelled him to a management position overseeing more than 100 employees. 

Prior to his election to the state House, he served as an industry consultant, using his knowledge and experience to help companies operate more efficiently.   

In addition to attending Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trachsville, Doyle is also an active member of the community.  He is a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post No. 314 and the Indian Mt. Rod and Gun Club. He is a former member of the Lower Towamensing Planning Commission and has served as both committeeman and chairman of the Carbon County Republican Committee. 

As an Eagle Scout, he has been instilled with a deep sense of patriotism for state and country.  He is an outdoorsman and a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. 

Doyle resides in Palmerton with his wife, Kellie, and their two daughters, Elizabeth and Angela.
